We are proud to announce that the DIREKTION project participated in the Nicosia Risk Forum 2024 (NRF2024), held in Larnaca, Cyprus. Representing DIREKTION, Dr. Nikolaos G. Kalapodis, Dr. Georgios Sakkas, and John Tsaloukidis from the Center for Security Studies (KEMEA) joined a diverse group of experts from academia, industry, government, and the wider community to discuss the critical theme: “Strengthening the Disaster Resilience of the Mediterranean Region: Safety, Security, and Climate Crisis.”
The event, organized by CERIDES - Center of Excellence in Risk and Decision Sciences, under the leadership of Prof. George Boustras and Ass. Prof. Christos Dimopoulos, brought together stakeholders to discuss innovative solutions for the challenges posed by climate change and security threats in the region.
